Why Solar?

The PPG Science Pavilion’s solar panels (34 kilowatt rooftop photovoltaic (PV) array) capture energy from the sun and directly creates electricity – whether the sky is cloudy or sunny. Solar energy is a renewable resource and offsets the need to burn fossil fuels for the same amount of energy.
