Why Smart Design?

Designing and building the PPG Science Pavilion in a sustainable manner required a process where the science center, the architects, the engineers, and the builders could work together to create a space to save energy and water, make smart use of resources, create low impact exterior spaces, demonstrate the effectiveness of renewable energy, create healthy interior environments and lower maintenance costs – all while delighting, educating and inspiring our visitors!
