The Green Scene
Immerse yourself in the 'green scene'. Use one of our awesome spaces to serve organic beer, wine, and alcohol – we'll serve the munchies on fully compostable serving ware. It's a great way to kick off your Green Team or reinforce your company's commitment to environmental issues.
Cosmic Cocktails, Bubbles, and Exploding Balloons
This is not just any event space. We can mix up cool cocktails with liquid nitrogen – or fog up your atmosphere – or explode hydrogen balloons – or fire up the Van de Graff generator to literally make your hair stand on end. Get the picture?
Kitchen Karma
Maybe your group wants a lesson on cooking chemistry in our Kitchen Theater – complete with fruit flambé at the end. Bask in science demos galore while you sip organic wine.
Disco Fever
Need a real ice breaker? Let us create a foggy environment in our Works Theater for a hot dance party. We can add a disco ball, make the moon shine, or even use our Tesla Coil to make the night truly electrifying. Choose your music and your atmosphere – it's all in the works!
Rockin' Railroad Reception
How about liquid nitrogen cocktails in our second floor lounge plus private time in the Miniature Railroad and Village®? Nosh on appetizers, sip, and stroll. We'll even throw in a behind-the-scenes tour so you can find out how we make all those itty bitty trees.
Inner Space, Outer Space, Awesome Space.
Master the Social Sciences. The Science Center's Main Lobby and Exhibit Floors are scientifically formulated for success. Whether you're looking for a one-of-a-kind party, ceremony, event, or gathering, we've got just the ticket.
Night at the Movies
Have a dinner or reception in the scenic lobby of the Rangos Omnimax Theater, complete with a view of The Point. Treat your group to a private show of an IMAX® film. It's an evening worth 'red-carpet' status. Capacity: Theater seats 340; Lobby accommodates 150 seated; 300 for cocktails.
Room with a View
The Overlook Room makes the view of the Point, the three rivers, and the downtown skyline the centerpiece at every table for your dinner or reception. Capacity: 50 seated; 60 for cocktails.
Out of This World!
Hi-def digital video projection for the 21st century! Our Buhl Planetarium is just right for any meeting or presentation. Better yet, treat your group to a specially choreographed laser show, complete with music from Pink Floyd, the Beatles, and other music icons. You can't get that anywhere else. Capacity: 150.
Universal Appeal
Other venues have balconies, but how many come equipped with a high-powered telescope and astronomer? Reserve our fifth floor Observatory, and your guests can gaze at distant galaxies and have worlds of fun. Capacity: 50 seated; 100 for cocktails.
The Stage Is Set
Get your audience into the act at the Bayer Science Stage, a full-purpose theater. This space is great for corporate presentations or awards ceremonies. If you want our help, we can add science demos to spice up your meeting. No bored meetings allowed! Capacity: 300.
