Students will explore the rapid prototyping machines of the Fab Lab, from 3-D printers to computer controlled milling machines, and learn about their uses in industry. After a tour of the technologies, students will use 2-D software to design a personalized paper lantern and then watch as the laser cuts out their creation to take home.
Science and technology topics include: information technology, advanced manufacturing, business, art, and entrepreneurship
