Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) games are fun and exciting ways for students to grasp the concept of this new and very important technology. Virtual reality devices drop users into animated worlds, whereas augmented reality (AR) places hologram-based images over real objects. The fact is that AR and VR are not just for games, but are literally game changers for many industries, such as architecture, building, research, design, engineering, and marketing. Think fun and skill-building for the third millennium!
In this exciting lab, students experience virtual worlds using specialized virtual reality googles and smartphones (provided). “We are designing the eyes for the next generation,” says Jesse Schell, Schell Games, Pittsburgh.
