An innovative hands-on program helping students understand the practical applications of mathematical and scientific principles while achieving state standards. Under the guidance of engineer mentors and teacher sponsors, teams use award winning SimCity™ software to create a "City of the Future" and write an essay on a related engineering topic. Model cities built with new and recycled materials and verbal presentations are judged on January 21, 2012. The first place team will compete in the National Finals in Washington D.C.
