D-Day: Normandy 1944 3D

75th anniversary screening
Sat.–Thurs., June 1–6

June 6, 1944: The largest Allied operation of World War II began in Normandy, France. But few know exactly why and how, from the end of 1943 through August 1944, this region became the most important location in the world. With D-Day: Normandy 1944 3D, our giant screen will immerse you into this pivotal moment, presenting a significant chapter in American history in stunning detail.

With narration by Tom Brokaw and a blend of animation, live-action images, and computer-generated imagery, D-Day: Normandy 1944 3D tells the story of how this landing changed the world. Explore history, military strategy, technology, and human values.

The film explains D-Day and the Battle of Normandy through five chapters, including the importance of the operation, how it was carried out, and its legacy. It depicts the five keys to victory, featuring the Liberty Ship, the Jeep, and the bulldozer, among others. The film guides audiences in a step-by-step journey through the Battle of Normandy, the largest military operation ever undertaken, highlighting who was involved, where, what happened, why, and how.
