Go from vision to video in one week! Campers will work together conceptualizing, storyboarding, filming, and editing a video about a scientific concept. Discover some behind-the-scenes movie magic learning about forced perspective miniatures. Have fun creating fog with dry ice. We’ll even celebrate with a mini movie festival at the end of the week.
$235 members / $250 non-members (including materials fee)

Extreme Minecraft (ages 12-14)

Use the popular cubed world of Minecraft to explore and build in a cooperative 3D world where you mine for resources, then refine, combine, and use them to build amazing creations. Campers will use the periodic table of elements and examine how elements combine to form molecules. Discover how basic survival techniques that are beneficial in the game apply to real life. Learn about 3D modeling and watch as we print our Minecraft creations on a 3D printer!
Cost: $235 members / $250 non-members per session

Educator in Training (ages 12-14)

June 29 – July 3 – SOLD OUT
Think you might like to join the Science Center education team? Come try it out for a week as you learn the skills necessary for working with children, then practice under the supervision of our instructors. This camp includes a child care and babysitting certification course, orientation, behind-the-scenes tour of the Science Center, and the chance to assist with one of our camps.
Cost: $235 members / $250 non-members per session

Trailblazers (ages 12-14)

July 27 – 31
This program will challenge you to solve a mock attack on Carnegie Science Center while exploring real STEM careers. Retrieve the clues and assess the risks using engineering, chemistry, and materials science skills. Will you blaze the trail to a new science profession?
Cost: $205 members / $220 non-members per session
