Ages 10-12 Full Day Camps
Cost: $205 members / $220 non-members per session
(Camps with field trips or extra supplies subject to additional costs listed in camp descriptions.)
* No camp on July 4. Reduced price for four-day camp: $165 members / $180 non-members. Full-day camps run from 9 am – 3 pm. Campers should bring their lunches.
Science Fun Days

Come for a day or make a week of it! These one-day experiences are modeled after our popular Parents' Night Out program. Campers will play in the exhibits, see a live theater show or laser show, participate in a one-hour science themed workshop, plus see an Omnimax movie.
$40 members / $45 non-members per day

Technology and imagination unite as you combine craft materials and robotic components to build and animate robotic creations. Using Carnegie Mellon University's CREATE Lab's visual programming software and Hummingbird Robotics Kits, campers will engage in the artistic side of robotics.

Can robots help clean your room and play basketball? Get up close with some binary beings in roboworld™ and learn about how they were designed and built. Build a robot and then take command. YOU are in control!

Discover the scientific bases behind some of your favorite creatures of the night…Vampires, mummies, Frankenstein…Oh my! Track an infectious zombie outbreak, learn more about cryptozoology, and separate science fiction from science fact!

Explore your passion for video games and game design as you learn basic game theory and put it to work. You'll become a master game designer for the week as you explore a steam-punk comic book world to learn new skills.

River Camp

Explore life on Pittsburgh's rivers spending time on board a RiverQuest boat. Then, come back to the Science Center to examine the science of bridges, how pollution effects our rivers, and more!

Are you a girl who loves working on experiments? Are you a techie wiz? Do you redesign things to make them your own? Think girls can do it better? Explore STEM careers through hands-on activities, challenges, and digital interactives. Connect with awesome women who work with STEM to make a difference in the world while making a living! Cutting-edge gaming to calculated experiments, explore how your interests can lead you to an awesome future.

Robotics Engineering Challenge

A long-time favorite! Explore the science of amusement parks as you discover the physics, momentum, and chemistry behind what makes them tick. Camp includes a field trip to Kennywood.

Explore Pittsburgh

Learn about our beautiful city through a series of activities and trips. Visit Heinz Field and the National Aviary as you take a look at the science of football and the power of flight. Explore outdoor ecology, put our city's environmental health to the test, and get your body moving as you kayak, bike, and hike!

* Campers signed up for this camp must be able to ride a two wheeled bicycle without training wheels.
Awesome Astronomy

The sky's the limit to what you'll discover as you travel to distant galaxies and beyond! Learn about deep space, black holes, dark matter, supernovas, stars, and planetary collisions. It's out of this world!
