Carnegie Science Center: It’s not just for kids! Carnegie Science Center’s Science After Dark programs make a big splash with teens, college students and the young-at-heart. From getting acquainted to team-building activities, hard-core academics to straight-up socializing, Carnegie Science Center is a fresh choice for young adult experiences that are fun, engaging and interactive.
Why “After Dark?”
Science After Dark programs take place when the Science Center is closed to the public, giving your group exclusive access to four floors of hands-on exhibits. We also provide customized hands-on challenges, electrifying live demonstrations, IMAX® films and breathtaking shows at the Buhl Digital Dome, our high-definition, full-dome digital planetarium. Party for an evening or stay all night for the ultimate after-dark experience.
Customized Experiences
Use your event time for a special guest lecture, move participants through a series of science challenges, run your own team-building program or pick a science theme like “engineering” and let us do the rest. In other words, it’s up to you! Most groups choose to include at least one IMAX® film, a Buhl Digital Dome planetarium or laser show, a hands-on science challenge and a live demonstration. Overnight guests enjoy admission to Carnegie Science Center and Highmark SportsWorks® on their second day.
Pricing
Customized Science After Dark programs vary in price based on the number of participants, specific programming and whether or not your group stays the night. Science After Dark frequently provides munchies and a cold breakfast. A full-service onsite caterer is also available. Only for groups of 100 or more.
