Observatory SkyWatch Session

Cost: See below

Date: Rain Or Shine

Learn about globular clusters, nebulas and planets when you see them with your own eyes. Visitors are invited to come to SkyWatch at the Henry Buhl, Jr. Observatory and get up-close and personal with amazing celestial objects. SkyWatch happens rain or shine. The observatory will be used if skies are clear. In the event of inclement weather, a virtual tour of the night sky will be presented in Buhl Planetarium.

Our 16-inch Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope shows you great detail of Jupiter's clouds, Saturn's rings and the lunar surface. Best of all, our expert stargazers can explain exactly what you're seeing. You can't do this at home!

Cost: $4 for non-members / $2 for members and as an add-on to general admission or an Omnimax show.
