Date: On Clear Friday Evenings, Weather Permitting

Learn about globular clusters, nebulas and planets when you see them with your own eyes. Come to SkyWatch at the Henry Buhl, Jr. Observatory and get up-close and personal with amazing celestial objects. Our 16-inch Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope shows you great detail of the planets. Best of all, our expert stargazers can explain exactly what you're seeing. You can't do this at home!

SkyWatch tickets sold separately are $2.
SkyWatch is FREE with the purchase of a laser show or Omnimax ticket.
No reservations are required.

Visitor parking at Carnegie Science Center is $5 per vehicle for non-members. Member parking rates are $3 per vehicle.

Observing takes place only if skies are clear on Friday and Saturday evenings.
March and April observation hours are 9-10:30 pm
May, June, July and August
 observation hours are 10-11:30 pm
September, October and November observation hours are 9-10:30 pm
